On July 23, police observed a weaving Jeep run a red light on York Road. The officer pulled over the vehicle near Sprague Road.

While talking to the Parma Heights driver, who said she had been at a friend’s home in North Royalton, the officer smelled booze.

When asked about the weaving, the woman slurred that she was probably looking at her phone. As far as the odor, the driver disclosed that she had consumed two or three White Claws.

After failing a field sobriety test barefoot -- because she had been swimming and had left her shoes at the friend’s house -- the woman was arrested for drunken driving.

Not only did police find alcohol in a cup, but there was also a small baggie that contained a white powder residue. The woman confirmed that the liquid was wine, but denied knowing about the baggie, which tested positive for cocaine.

The driver was also cited for weaving, disobeying a traffic control device and not using her phone hands-free while driving. She was also charged with open container and drug abuse.

On July 23, a Taco Bell employee came to the police station regarding a menacing report.

An officer talked to the woman, who said a man often harassed her at work and had now threatened physical harm via Snapchat by saying he was going to send his friends to her home.

She said the threats were due to the fact that she would not have sex with him. While she had blocked him on her phone, a female sent threatening messages to her as well.

The suspect was charged with menacing.
